The choir stalls were carved in the early 16th century, and are stunning works of art with some 3,500 figures. Apart from their beautiful flamboyant architecture, they contain a treasury of narrative and decorative carvings.

A labyrinth in the centre of the floor of the nave was a common feature of early and High Gothic cathedrals; they were also found in the cathedrals of Sens, Chartres, Arras and Reims. It symbolised the obstacles and twists and turns of the journey toward salvation, but also showed that with determination the journey was possible. On certain religious holidays, pilgrims would follow the labyrinth on their knees. The Amiens labyrinth is 240 meters long. It was originally put in place in 1288 by the architect Rene de Cormont.
